The project is currently owned by Comision Federal de Electricidad.
The hydro reservoir capacity is 9,340 million cubic meter. The gross head of the project is 110m. Infiernillo underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during 2006-2010. The project generated 2,936 GWh of electricity.
