Description

The project was developed by Guizhou Beipanjiang Electric Power. The project is currently owned by Guizhou Qianyuan Power with a stake of 51%, CPI Guizhou Jinyuan Group, Guangdong Energy Group, Hydrochina Guiyang Engineering, Liupanshui Jiangyuan Power Company Limited and Qianxinan Prefecture Industrial Investment Limited Liability Company .

The hydro reservoir capacity is 3,245 million cubic meter. The project generated 2,754 GWh of electricity.

Development status

The project construction commenced in 2003 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 2008.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to China Southern Power Grid under a power purchase agreement.

Contractors involved

Harbin Electric Machinery was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 4 units of francis turbines, each with 260MW nameplate capacity.

GE Renewable Energy supplied 4 electric generators for the project. The generator capacity is 260 MVA.
