Description

The project was developed by EnBW Energie Baden-Wurttemberg. EnBW Energie Baden-Wurttemberg, PGGM, Macquarie Capital and Others are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 50.11%, 30%, 16.63% and 3.26% respectively.

The wind turbines in the EnBW Baltic II Phase I are installed on fixed foundations. An array of monopile foundations feature in the phase.

The wind turbines in the EnBW Baltic II Phase II are installed on fixed foundations. An array of three-legged jacket foundations feature in the phase.

The project generates 1,200,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 340,000 households, offsetting 900,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The project is currently active. The project construction commenced in 2013 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in September 2015.

Contractors involved

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The project consists of 80 units of SWT-3.6-120 turbines, each with 3.6MW nameplate capacity.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is the O&M contractor for the wind power project, commencing from the year 2015.
