Description

The project was developed by Orsted and PNE. Orsted, Gulf International Holding, Keppel Infrastructure Trust and Others are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 50%, 24.9%, 20.54% and 4.5% respectively.

The wind turbines in the Borkum-Riffgrund II - Phase I are installed on fixed foundations. An array of monopile foundations feature in the phase.

The wind turbines in the Borkum-Riffgrund II - Phase II are installed on fixed foundations. An array of suction bucket jacket foundations feature in the phase.

The project supplies enough clean energy to power 460,000 households.

Contractors involved

Orsted was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the wind power project.

Vestas Offshore Wind was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The project consists of 56 units of V164-8.0 MW Offshore turbines, each with 8.3MW nameplate capacity.

Vestas Offshore Wind is the O&M contractor for the wind power project. The operation and maintenance contract commenced from 2018, for a period of 5 years.
