Description

The project was developed by Datang Guoxin Binhai Offshore Wind Power. China Datang Corporation Renewable Power and Jiangsu Guoxin Investment Group are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 60% and 40% respectively.

The wind turbines in the Binhai Offshore Wind Project Phase I are installed on fixed foundations. An array of monopile foundations feature in the phase.

The wind turbines in the Binhai Offshore Wind Project Phase II are installed on fixed foundations. An array of monopile foundations feature in the phase.

The project generates 790,000MWh electricity thereby offsetting 660,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in December 2019.

Contractors involved

Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the wind power project.

Binhai Offshore Wind Project (Binhai Offshore Wind Project Phase I) is equipped with Goldwind Science & Technology turbines. The phase consists of 46 turbines, each with 3.3MW nameplate capacity.

Binhai Offshore Wind Project (Binhai Offshore Wind Project Phase II) is equipped with China Ming Yang Wind Power Group MySE3.0-135 turbines. The phase consists of 50 turbines with 3MW nameplate capacity.
