Description

The project is being developed by China Three Gorges. The project is co-owned by China Three Gorges and Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority, with their respective ownership stake of 50% each.

Bunji is a run-of-river project. The hydro reservoir capacity is planned to be 308 million cubic meter. The gross head of the project will be 445m. The project is expected to generate 26,123 GWh of electricity.

The hydro power project consists of 20 turbines, each with 350MW nameplate capacity.

Development status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2029. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2032.
