Middle East and Africa power industry contracts in September 2021: Saudi Arabia leads activity
Looking at contracts by country, Saudi Arabia led the activity in September 2021 with five contracts and a share of 17.2%, up 2.9% over the previous month and flat growth when compared with the last 12 month-average, followed by the United Arab Emirates with three contracts and a share of 10.3% and Egypt with three contracts and a share of 10.3% during the month.
Looking at the last 12-month average, Saudi Arabia held the top spot with five contracts, followed by the United Arab Emirates with three and Egypt with two contracts.

Solar is top technology area for contracts in September 2021
Looking at contracts divided by the type of technology, solar accounted for the largest proportion with nine contracts and a 56.3% share, followed by thermal with four contracts and a 25% share and wind with two contracts and a 12.5% share.
Looking at power industry contracts divided by segment in Middle East and Africa as tracked by GlobalData, T&D Project was the most popular segment in September 2021, with ten contracts, followed by Power Plant (8) and T&D Equipment (6).
