North America power industry tenders in September 2021: The US leads activity
Looking at tenders by country, the US led the activity in September 2021 with 185 tenders and a share of 79.7%, down 7.4% over the previous month and flat growth when compared with the last 12 month-average, followed by Canada with 46 tenders and a share of 19.8% and Puerto Rico with one tender and a share of 0.4% during the month.
Looking at the last 12-month average, the US held the top spot with 185 tenders, followed by Canada with 43.

Thermal is top technology area for tenders in September 2021
Looking at tenders divided by the type of technology, thermal accounted for the largest proportion with 84 tenders and an 84% share, followed by solar with 13 tenders and a 13% share and hydro with two tenders and a 2% share.
Looking at power industry tenders divided by segment in North America as tracked by GlobalData, T&D Equipment was the most popular segment in September 2021, with 100 tenders, followed by Generation Equipment (86) and Energy Storage (17).
The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Supply & Erection: 173 tenders and a 74.6% share
