Germany’s power industry registered a 21.3% rise in IT hiring activity in August 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 13.34% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.
Out of the power industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 8.97% share in August 2021, recording an increase of 1.03% over the last three-month average share.

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s power industry in August 2021.

Top five power companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in August 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 54.31% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s power industry during August 2021 over July 2021.
Companhia de Transmissao de Energia Eletrica Paulista posted 67 IT jobs in August 2021 and registered a rise of 179.17% over the previous month, followed by Siemens with 50 jobs and a 6.38% growth. E.ON with 38 IT jobs and Nordex with 16 jobs, recorded a 192.31% flat growth and an 11.11% decrease, respectively, while EnBW Energie Baden-Wurttemberg recorded a decline of 42.86% with 8 job postings during August 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 71.5%, up by 41.58% from July 2021. Entry Level positions with a 15% share, registered an increase of 114.29% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 13% share, up 18.18% over July 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.5%, recording a month-on-month decline of 50%.
