Construction works on the Kumasi – Kintampo – Tamale – Bolgatanga Line started in 2018 and the project was commissioned in 2019.
Description
The Kumasi – Kintampo – Tamale – Bolgatanga Line, which is an overhead line, is being operated by Ghana Grid. The Kumasi – Kintampo – Tamale – Bolgatanga Line is a new line. The line carries alternating current (AC) through double circuit cable.

The development of the Kumasi – Kintampo – Tamale – Bolgatanga Line project was approved by Public Utilities Regulatory Commission of Ghana in 2018 and the project works were completed in 2019.
