– Marriott International has signed an agreement with Constellation Energy to participate in a load response program to develop over 23 megawatts of load response capability at 250 Marriott-managed hotel properties.
– The properties are located in the mid-Atlantic, New England, New York, Texas and California.
– Marriott will use Constellation Energy’s VirtuWatt energy management system in concert with existing building automation to track electricity usage and automate load curtailment strategies.
