Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in July 2021 with 48 contracts and a 35.8% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 32 contracts and a 23.9% share and Electricity Procurement with 28 contracts and a 20.9% share during the month.
The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Power Purchase Agreement: 25 contracts and an 89.3% share
- Project Implementation: two contracts and a 7.1% share
- Electricity Supply: one contract and a 3.6% share.

The top issuers of electricity procurement contracts for the month in terms of power capacity involved in Asia-Pacific were:
- BSES Rajdhani Power (India) and BSES Yamuna Power (India): 510MW from one contract
- Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution (India): 500MW from two contracts
- National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan (Uzbekistan): 440MW capacity from two contracts.
