Looking at global power tenders activity divided by the type of technology, solar held the second position in terms of number of tenders during July 2021 with a 37.5% share.
The proportion of tenders by category in the Solar technology tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Project Implementation: 75 tenders and a 68.2% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: 12 tenders and a 10.9% share
- Supply & Erection: 12 tenders and a 10.9% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: eight tenders and a 7.3% share
- Power Purchase Agreement: three tenders and a 2.7% share.

The top issuers of tenders in Solar technology for the month in terms of power capacity involved were:
- Solar Energy Corporation of India (India): 1,301MW from three tenders
- Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, Turkey (Turkey): 1,000MW from one tender
- The Islamic Charity Center Society: 950MW capacity from one tender.
