The industry’s overall hiring decreased by 0.83% in June 2021 compared with May 2021.
Out of the power industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 11.17% share in June 2021, recording an increase of 2.88% over the last three-month average share.

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 97.33% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Australia power industry in June 2021.

Top five power companies in Australia IT recruitment activity in June 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 88% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Australia power industry during June 2021 over May 2021.
Luz Del Sur SAA posted 18 IT jobs in June 2021 and registered a rise of 500% over the previous month, followed by CLP Holdings with 11 jobs and a 22.22% growth. AGL Energy with 7 IT jobs and Siemens with 6 jobs, recorded a 75% growth and a 200% increase, respectively, while Origin Energy recorded a 28.57% decline with 5 job postings during June 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 70.67%, up by 112% from May 2021. Mid Level positions with a 21.33% share, a growth of 45.45% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 8% share, up 20% over May 2021.
