Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Europe region in May 2021 with 35 contracts and a 31.8% share, followed by Electricity Procurement with 24 contracts and a 21.8% share and Generation Equipment with 20 contracts and an 18.2% share during the month.
The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Power Purchase Agreement: 21 contracts and an 87.5% share
- Electricity Supply: three contracts and a 12.5% share.
Wind is top technology for Europe electricity procurement contracts in May 2021
Looking at electricity procurement contracts by the type of technology in the Europe region, wind accounted for 17 contracts with a 63% share, followed by solar with nine contracts and a 33.3% share and hydro with one contract and a 3.7% share.
