T&D Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in May 2021 with 39 tenders and a 28.9% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 37 tenders and a 27.4% share and T&D Project with 33 tenders and a 24.4% share during the month.
The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Supply & Erection: 26 tenders and a 66.7% share
- Project Implementation: seven tenders and a 17.9% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: six tenders and a 15.4% share.
Hydro is top technology for Asia-Pacific T&D equipment tenders in May 2021
Looking at T&D equipment tenders by the type of technology in the Asia-Pacific region, hydro accounted for one tender with a 50% share, followed by thermal with one tender and a 50% share.
