Generation Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Europe region in March 2021 with 43 contracts and a 41.7% share, followed by Electricity Procurement with 22 contracts and a 21.4% share and Power Plant with 15 contracts and a 14.6% share during the month.
The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Power Purchase Agreement: 21 contracts and a 95.5% share
- Electricity Supply: one contract and a 4.5% share.
Solar is top technology for Europe electricity procurement contracts in March 2021
Looking at electricity procurement contracts by the type of technology in the Europe region, solar accounted for 13 contracts with a 46.4% share, followed by wind with 13 contracts and a 46.4% share and hydro with two contracts and a 7.1% share.
