The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Project Implementation: 64 contracts and a 75.3% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: ten contracts and an 11.8% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: eight contracts and a 9.4% share
- Power Purchase Agreement: three contracts and a 3.5% share.
Asia-Pacific leads power plant activity in February 2021
Comparing contracts activity in power plant segment in different regions of the globe, Asia-Pacific held the top position with 36 contracts and a share of 42.4% during February 2021, followed by Europe with 27 contracts and a 31.8% share and North America with 14 contracts and a 16.5% share.

Solar is leading technology for power plant contracts in February 2021
Among the technologies, solar accounted for 41 contracts with a 47.1% share, followed by wind with 29 contracts and a 33.3% share and thermal with nine contracts and a 10.3% share.

The top issuers of power plant contracts for the month in terms of power capacity involved were:

- Nuclear Power Corporation of India (India): 2,000MW from one contract
- Ministry of Energy and Mines, Laos (Laos): 1,800MW capacity from one contract.
