The H2 total for renewable energy auctions was up 14% year on year compared with the total of 29 auctions in H1 2020.
Renewable energy auctions in H2 2020: Asia-Pacific leads global activity
On comparing renewable energy auctions in different regions of the globe, Asia-Pacific held the top position with 15 auctions and a share of 45.5% during H2 2020, followed by South and Central America with 11 auctions and a 33.3% share and Europe with six auctions and an 18.2% share.
In fourth place was Middle East and Africa with one auction and a 3% share.
