Globally, the total confirmed cases of Covid-19 have reached over 44,100,000, with over 1,169,000 deaths and 29,849,000 recoveries.
Across the world, daily confirmed cases continue to rise.
Of the top ten most affected countries, more than half continue to report increasing trends in daily confirmed cases: the US, Russia, France, Spain, Colombia, and the UK.
These countries contribute nearly 50% to the top ten total confirmed case burden, and about 33% to the global total confirmed case burden.
In Europe, record spikes in daily confirmed cases have been observed in the UK, France, Spain, Germany, and other European countries.
Many of these countries are considering imposing another nationwide lockdown, as opposed to targeted, local restrictions.
