Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Europe region in Q3 2020 with 231 contracts and a 40% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 124 contracts and a 21.5% share and T&D Equipment with 101 contracts and a 17.5% share during the quarter.
The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:
- Project Implementation: 203 contracts and an 87.9% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: 20 contracts and an 8.7% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: six contracts and a 2.6% share
- Power Purchase Agreement: two contracts and a 0.9% share.
Solar is top technology for Europe power plant contracts in Q3 2020
Looking at power plant contracts by the type of technology in the Europe region, solar accounted for 151 contracts with a 65.1% share, followed by wind with 63 contracts and a 27.2% share and thermal with nine contracts and a 3.9% share.
