T&D Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Europe region in September 2020 with 39 tenders and a 33.1% share, followed by T&D Project with 30 tenders and a 25.4% share and Power Plant with 26 tenders and a 22% share during the month.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Project Implementation: 21 tenders and an 80.8% share
  2. Consulting & Similar Services: three tenders and an 11.5% share
  3. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: two tenders and a 7.7% share.

Looking at power plant tenders by the type of technology in the Europe region, solar accounted for 15 tenders with a 60% share, followed by wind with five tenders and a 20% share and thermal with three tenders and a 12% share.

The top issuers of power plant tenders for the month in terms of power capacity involved in Europe were:

  1. Bundesnetzagentur (Germany): 18,800MW from one tender
  2. Energinet Eltransmission (Denmark): 1,000MW from one tender
  3. Danish Energy Agency (Denmark): 800MW capacity from one tender.
