Europe power industry tenders in September 2020: Poland leads activity
Looking at tenders by country, Poland led the activity in September 2020 with 38 tenders and a share of 32.8%, up 4.2% over the previous month and up 23% when compared with the last 12 month-average, followed by Russia with eight tenders and a share of 6.9% and Germany with eight tenders and a share of 6.9% during the month.
Looking at the last 12-month average, Poland held the top spot with 31 tenders, followed by Germany with eight and France with four tenders.

Solar is top technology area for tenders in September 2020
Looking at tenders divided by the type of technology, solar accounted for the largest proportion with 19 tenders and a 38% share, followed by thermal with 14 tenders and a 28% share and wind with eight tenders and a 16% share.
Looking at power industry tenders divided by segment in Europe as tracked by GlobalData, T&D Equipment was the most popular segment in September 2020, with 39 tenders, followed by T&D Project (30) and Power Plant (26).
The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Supply & Erection: 51 tenders and a 44% share
- Project Implementation: 37 tenders and a 31.9% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 17 tenders and a 14.7% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: 11 tenders and a 9.5% share.
Power tenders in September 2020: Top issuers by capacity
The top issuers of tenders for the month in terms of power capacity involved in Europe were:
- Bundesnetzagentur (Germany): 18,800MW from one tender
- Energinet Eltransmission (Denmark): 1,000MW from one tender
- Danish Energy Agency (Denmark): 800MW capacity from one tender.
