Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in August 2020 with 31 contracts and a 30.1% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 29 contracts and a 28.2% share and Electricity Procurement with 21 contracts and a 20.4% share during the month.
The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Supply & Erection: 23 contracts and a 79.3% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: four contracts and a 13.8% share
- Project Implementation: two contracts and a 6.9% share.
Wind is top technology for Asia-Pacific generation equipment contracts in August 2020
Looking at generation equipment contracts by the type of technology in the Asia-Pacific region, wind accounted for 18 contracts with a 60% share, followed by solar with six contracts and a 20% share and thermal with two contracts and a 6.7% share.
