The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Supply & Erection: 23 contracts and a 95.8% share
- Project Implementation: one contract and a 4.2% share.
Europe leads smart grid activity in July 2020
Comparing contracts activity in smart grid segment in different regions of the globe, Europe held the top position with 16 contracts and a share of 66.7% during July 2020, followed by Asia-Pacific with four contracts and a 16.7% share and Middle East and Africa with three contracts and a 12.5% share.

Wind is leading technology for smart grid contracts in July 2020
Among the technologies, wind accounted for three contracts with a 50% share, followed by hydro with two contracts and a 33.3% share and solar with one contract and a 16.7% share.
