Looking at global power contracts activity divided by the type of technology, solar held the top position in terms of number of contracts during June 2020 with a 52.6% share.
The proportion of contracts by category in the Solar technology tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Project Implementation: 92 contracts and a 59.7% share
- Power Purchase Agreement: 40 contracts and a 26% share
- Supply & Erection: 18 contracts and an 11.7% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: three contracts and a 1.9% share
- Electricity Supply: one contract and a 0.6% share.
Europe leads solar contracts activity in June 2020
Comparing contracts activity in solar technology in different regions of the globe, Europe held the top position with 68 contracts and a share of 44.2% during June 2020, followed by North America with 40 contracts and a 26% share and Asia-Pacific with 32 contracts and a 20.8% share.
