Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Europe region in Q4 2019 with 132 contracts and a 34.3% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 97 contracts and a 25.2% share and T&D Equipment with 53 contracts and a 13.8% share during the quarter.
The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:
- Power Purchase Agreement: 38 contracts and an 80.9% share
- Project Implementation: seven contracts and a 14.9% share
- Electricity Supply: two contracts and a 4.3% share.
Solar is top technology for Europe electricity procurement contracts in Q4 2019
Looking at electricity procurement contracts by the type of technology in the Europe region, solar accounted for 25 contracts with a 50% share, followed by wind with 24 contracts and a 48% share and biopower with one contract and a 2% share.
