Spanish wind turbine manufacturer Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) has selected Indian IT major Infosys to support its digital transformation initiative.
Under the agreement, Infosys will offer a comprehensive IT infrastructure to SGRE, including a hybrid Cloud transformation, an intelligent service desk, as well as a software-defined network and digital workplace services.
Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy chief information officer Alan Feeley said: “When considering our desired IT operating model, we were looking for a partner that brings a careful balance of innovation, operational excellence and sustainable commercial viability.

Additionally, Infosys will also provide SGRE application management and transformation services.

By GlobalDataUnder the contract, Infosys will be integrating SGRE’s multiple public Cloud platforms with its private Cloud to bring agility to the Spanish firm’s IT infrastructure.
Infosys claims that its Infrastructure Management Solution Suite will enable SGRE to market service catalogue-based offering across all IT Infrastructures in quick time.
It will also provide next-generation workplace services with enhanced self-help and self-heal capabilities enabled by AI and automation tools.
