Europe power industry tenders in June 2019: Poland leads activity
Looking at tenders by country, Poland led the activity in June 2019 with 32 tenders and a share of 41%, up 9.4% over the previous month and down 6% when compared with the last 12 month-average.
In second place was Hungary with five tenders and a share of 6.4% and in third place was Cyprus with four tenders and a share of 5.1% during the month.
Looking at the last 12-month average, Poland held the top spot with 34 tenders, followed by Germany with six and Russian Federation with five tenders.

Thermal is top technology area for tenders in June 2019
Looking at tenders divided by the type of technology, Thermal accounted for the largest proportion with 11 tenders and a 36.7% share, followed by Nuclear with six tenders and a 20% share and Solar with six tenders and a 20% share.
Looking at power industry tenders divided by segment in Europe as tracked by GlobalData, T&D Project was the most popular segment in June 2019, with 28 tenders, followed by T&D Equipment (20) and Generation Equipment (15).
The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Supply & Erection with 33 tenders and a 42.3% share
- Project Implementation with 24 tenders and a 30.8% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others with 14 tenders and a 17.9% share.
Power tenders in June 2019: Top companies by capacity
The top issuers of tenders for the month in terms of power capacity involved in Europe were:
- Ministries of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia (Macedonia) with 35MW from one tender
- Commission de Regulation de l’Energie (France) with 25MW from one tender
- University of Szczecin with 2.97MW capacity from one tender.
